Your typical Sunday at Santa Monica. The promenade was fun and Asra got chosen to dance in a street performance. Highlight of the Night. Sorry for the lack of pictures,this spring break was busy and boring, if that makes sense. All we did was watch shows on Netflix whenever we had the chance (boring) and hung out (busy and fun).

Inspo

                               You can call this the search for the perfect leather jacket. More or less a jacket with structure and some hidden unique components. None of these pictures belong to me. Most of them were found off of tumblr and some of these pieces are Rick Owens and Dries Van Noten. These are the things so far that I find to be inspirational, I'm currently into monochromatic colors and faux leather. Please don't kill the animals :/.

Monet

                                           It was a mellow friday. Heidi came over , we painted, and I showed her how to make bread. 'Twas fun until Heidi left. I only have an under painting done though and I need to add some more details. We were both going for a sort of Monet look. And please don't mind Heidi's awkward leg/pose. I call it the primitive painting pose.

Home

                                          I had a migraine today so I stayed home instead of going to school. I healed quite fast. It was such a nice break, sometimes we all need a break from school after continuous weeks. Now that the week is winding down stress is going to build up. I didn't take many pictures today, making Moroccan mint tea was the most entertaining part of today otherwise I just cleaned the home and made dinner. I did go to Michael s because I needed an oil painting blending brush (since my other one is dead) and some of the Canvases were on sale so that was a plus. Now I must work on a painting for tomorrow's critique. Yay.

Nostalgia

                                    This week is a super busy week in regards to school. Oh wait, my life is always busy because of school, hence, summer I really don't do much. I just can't wait until 2:45 on Tuesday next week, then all the school stress will be done for a moment. So far I've been proactive with my English assignment, just so that I can make room for Biology. Ugh, I'm really not in the mood to analyze this Emily Dickinson poem, but nonetheless I will. I just can't wait till I graduate. Ha, that rhymed. And I sound stupid. Okay bye. Oh and these are some old pics from December when it was winter break and I was happy. HA. Yeah, happy. I went to the Getty three times last year.

                                   So, Tiffany prompted me to buy this urban outfitter's dress, which was the best decision of my life so far. Like it's super intricate and made well. I went to zara recently and bought some really funky things, super inspiring. I though Blick was amazing (it still is), but then I stumbled upon utretchart (Thanks Kevin)!!! I am literally counting down the days till school ends and working on my AP portfolio. Seriously though, there is no difference between Senior year and any of my other years. Senior year is more fun but as for the work load, that aspect hasn't changed. Sigh. My teachers don't give me a ton of work, they always have due dates that are like 3 weeks later, such as a test or a poetry assignment. But me, being the wonderful procrastinator that I am (well not really, because I still get my things done on time with little stress) just lay things off till the last week. I'm not super stressed but ugh. When is summer? Oh and that Zara necklace is my sister's, I am still contemplating whether or not I should wear it.

Okay, so I do understand that I have not been blogging lately ( 3 months). There is no excuse for this kind of behavior but now I shall resume where I have left out - especially since the spring/summer 2011 Runway shows are out!! How exciting! Well I have been here the whole time and haven't gone anywhere but in your eyes I have dissappeared.... SOOO while I was gone I have reviewed many 2011 Ready to Wear Resort RUNWAY SHOWS... so I found sooo many editorials that have interested me... I got them from theonestowatch.com They are really interesting.. lets take a good look.

As to begin with the first one we see many different kinds of print reminds me of the streets of Africa. The manes that each one of these magic women posses.... rawr... amazing. All of the clothing is by the one and only DRIES VAN NOTEN, another designer to adore. Look closely at the detail of each and every picture it may unlock something new. WOW I sound like a wise old man. HA
